This exhibition explores a sense of place through scenes inspired by small towns, architecture, and everyday moments. Working with watercolor and digitally refined mixed media, Learn more about Thea.
The call is for a mini mural (12″ X 12″) of historic buildings in Shenandoah Valley. The selected piece will be displayed/hung at each historic location. The first historic building will be the Burkett Building in Mount Jackson, VA
Go outside, touch grass! Rummage through the attic and garage! This show will feature art that has some sort of scavenged element: art that incorporates found or nontraditional materials as a part of the overall piece.
Artists will be painting live in the front of VECCA Gallery, Monday to Friday 10am-2pm. Please stop in and say hi, see what they are working on, and ask any questions you might have about their approach to art, or see what’s happening at VECCA lately. Current and future artists include Ann McCarty, Travis K Schuerman, Penelope Carrol, and Dan Miller
Plein Air! All skill levels are welcome. And all kinds of artists welcome, Painters, Illustrators, Sculptors, Potters, Writers, Photographers… just bring yourself and your art materials to create whatever inspires you. Admire fellow artists process and just enjoy casually capturing the locations surroundings.
