Children's Art Class

Overview

VECCA offers art classes for children. Opportunities are noted below – click on an upcoming class to find out more information or to sign up.

Artist and arts educator, Jennifer Walker, guides children in grades 3rd – 7th through morning art workshops.

All workshops offer professional instruction in various artistic media. All supplies and snacks are included in the workshop fee: $35 per workshop per student.

VECCA is pleased to offer four workshop scholarships for students with financial need. To apply for these scholarships, which cover the price of one class, please e-mail VECCArts@gmail.com.

Every registering student for VECCA-sponsored classes for children under 18 need to include a VECCA Children’s Class Info Form, which is provided below. In addition, please use the form to share allergy information with instructors.

VECCA strives to provide quality classes taught by professional creative artists, mostly from the local area. All children’s classes have a two-deep policy, meaning that at least two adults will be present with the children at all times to promote a positive experience and personal safety.

Parents and guardians, please provide basic information regarding the student that will be participating in an upcoming workshop.

Confirmation of Participation & Guidelines.

The parent or guardian needs to check each box to acknowledge VECCA guidelines for classes. Drop-off: The parent or guardian must sign-in every student under 18 that is dropped off for the workshop. Pick-up: The parent or guardian must sign-out every student under 18, before s/he can leave VECCA. Communication: The parent or guardian must contact a VECCA representative if there are changes to this registration form. VECCArts@gmail.com is the best e-mail.

VECCA, which is run completely by unpaid volunteers, strives to be professional and courteous. We expect our participants to be as well, even when they are children. If a child is not demonstrating this, the parent or guardian will be contacted immediately for the student to be picked up. Refunds will not be available for a family in this situation.
