Thanks to a generous grant from The Kimley-Horn Foundation, we are able to run a series art classes at SEARCH (Search Thrift Shop and Group Home) in Mount Jackson led by Holly Huddle and supported by Travis K Schuerman, Penelope Carroll, and Dan Miller.
These classes will culminate in an art show at VECCA this fall!

Her show titled “Pretty Appalachian Pollinators” is a watercolor series inspired by the 2025 National Butterfly Count in Lost River, West Virginia. The work highlights moths and butterflies that serve as pollinators, encouraging greater awareness of the insects and native plants that sustain local ecosystems. Learn more about Tobi.
Artists will be painting live in the front of VECCA Gallery, Monday to Friday 10am-2pm. Please stop in and say hi, see what they are working on, and ask any questions you might have about their approach to art, or see what’s happening at VECCA lately. Current and future artists include Ann McCarty, Travis K Schuerman, Penelope Carrol, and Dan Miller
Plein Air! All skill levels are welcome. And all kinds of artists welcome, Painters, Illustrators, Sculptors, Potters, Writers, Photographers… just bring yourself and your art materials to create whatever inspires you. Admire fellow artists process and just enjoy casually capturing the locations surroundings.
