VECCA, in partnership with
Woodstock's Public Art Program, launched a 3-year project: A Three Panel Mosaic Mural designed by VECCA artists. The design depicts the Shenandoah River, highlights of the Seven Bends & the beauty of the Shenandoah Valley and the recreational opportunities available to visitors and community. Materials used in the project include: art glass, ceramic, river rocks, and more. Hundreds of Members of the community worked with VECCA volunteers in the creation of these large panels from 2020 to 2023. The 4 ft. X 8 ft. panels, now completed, are mounted on the Woodstock Café's outside wall at the Main Street entrance of the Town's Public Parking Lot. A special Thank You to VECCA volunteers - Jane Beasley, Ellen Flugel, & Debra Cooper - for their project oversight, idea, and design expertise; to Woodstock Public Works for board construction, moving & mounting; and to Katie Mercer & the Town of Woodstock for supporting the Arts. |
